Micro Niche Sites are a great way to enjoy long term income by way of operating small sites that are laser targeted to keywords that have both lower demand & supply.
By providing your visitor with unique articles containing useful information that they seek, with a mixture of monetisation methods in place you can earn a regular income & fill a vital need within the search engine rankings.
Whilst some sites are launched entirely for the love of the subject, the majority we do are done with profit in mind, and this is especially true of micro niche sites (unless you really do enjoy writing about chrome batteries, and solid oak table legs).
Which means that all the time we are building and then marketing these sites we are doing it with one aim in mind – to make money. Of course for us to do that we need to have set up some income streams that we can tap into with our micro niche sites. Thankfully there are a few options here
Income Streams for Micro Niche Sites
* Google Adsense - For the majority of people who are starting up a micro niche site this is going to be the main money earner. For every click that someone does on the adsense links, you earn an amount (anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars).
These are especially powerful on product sites where people are looking to buy, not find information (which you will be providing).
* Amazon - Being an Amazon affiliate means that if someone clicks on a link you give, and then buys the product, you will get a percentage of the amount that they paid for that item (usually somewhere around the 5% mark).
As you can imagine this is especially powerful on product sites where you can make good money selling the item people are coming to you for.
* Dropshipping/Direct Selling - Of course you could actually sell what they are looking for yourself, and create a greater mark up. The most popular ways are to buy the item in wholesale and sell them from the site, or set up a dropshipping agreement with a distributor.
* Clickbank/ebooks - If you are more in the information niche than you are in the product niche then you can make good money selling ebooks on the subject (or other people's ebooks via clickbank).
These days putting together ebooks can be simple, and cheap even if you outsource it, which means you can always have a product to sell (and making your own profit gives bigger profit margins).
* eBay Affiliate - Another option is to become an eBay affiliate, then select a very tight range of items from the auction site that are exact matches for your theme & create banners & links that when clicked will generate income for you.
* Link Sales - To rank a site in the search engines you are going to need to SEO it. This sort of SEO usually means linking, which in turn gives traffic and increased Page Rank – two factors you can use to help you sell links.
* Newsletter - Set up a newsletter via the site and charge companies to be featured in each broadcast.
