There are a vast variety of ways opening up for bloggers who are interested in making money blogging.
First off, for profitable blogging, you have to know the three magic words:

so important? Because for most methods of online income generation, your income is a function of traffic. Bloggers have long since jumped on the bandwagon of digital assets and some are doing really weill with selling their own e-books, courses and tele-seminars.
5. Blog Network Opportunities
More and more bloggers are combining writing for themselves on their own blogs with taking on blog network blogs as additional income streams. There are distinct advantages of blogging for an established network as they potentially handle the set up costs, promotion, admin and search engine optimization.
6. Donations

buttons have been a way of making money blogging for years. There are several known cases of bloggers who have been able to quit their day jobs and blog full time due to the generosity of their readers.
7. Merchandising
An increasing number of bloggers -- especially those with a cult following -- make a few extra dollars from their blogs by selling branded products through programs like Cafepress.
8. Consulting and Speaking
Blogging has the ability to establish people as experts in their niche. There are bloggers who are able to charge themselves out for speaking and consulting work due to being perceived as leaders in their field -- and in some cases even as minor celebrities!
How Much Do Bloggers Spend?
Surprisingly little. There are some basic blogging costs such as hosting. Some bloggers also dabble in advertising to drive traffic to their websites, for example AdWords and StumbleUpon. A growing number of professional bloggers also pay ghost-writers to develop content for them.
That said, successful blogs rely heavily on word of mouth and organic ways of attracting income.
